Additional services

Biocide Dosing System Design

We offer comprehensive design services for dosing systems and lines, including the creation of fabrication drawings. We ensure dosing adequacy through verification using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling. It is essential to expose all intake and water system surfaces to dosed biocide products for efficient biofouling control from the dosing point onwards. H2O designs and engineers biocide dosing systems to achieve optimal dispersion and effectiveness.

Required chemicals

H2O BFS can provide the necessary products for biofouling control, tailored to local site-specific conditions and specifications. We assist clients in selecting the appropriate biofouling control product for their system. The capacity of the generation system is customised according to our Ecodosing method.

Hardware

We offer various hardware options including electrochlorination systems, brine-based electrochlorination packages, chlorine dioxide (ClO2) solutions, and biobullets.

Environmental impact assessment

Biocides used in water systems for biofouling control can result in a discharge of products that can be harmful to the environment. For example, chlorination of surface water can produce byproducts such as trihalomethanes (THMs). Our staff possesses extensive expertise in evaluating the environmental impacts of biocide use in industrial water systems. They are experienced at chlorination chemistry and assessing the impacts of potential byproducts, like THMs in seawater, which requires a specific approach for sampling, conservation, and analysis due to the seawater matrix. Our staff conducts sampling exercises and interprets data according to local regulations, considering directives from agencies such as the EPA and EU to calculate realistic environmental impacts based on measured concentrations.

We provide a guarantee on both the equipment and the efficiency of the biofouling treatment!
