Biofouling Monitoring systems which provide operators continuous insight in the risk for biofouling settlement.

This provides real time biofouling monitor system to achieve an early warning for biofouling build up in the system.

Best Monitoring Technique

Only H2O Biofouling Solutions B.V. offers you the best technique to MONITOR in real time the effectiveness of your biofouling treatment. If your current treatment is not effective, it will immediately reveal the presence of biofouling organisms.

H2O has developed a monitor called the Biovision Monitor which can be installed at a critical spot in the service water system, e.g. in front of the heat exchangers.

The monitor contains of five fouling coupons and can be connected as a bypass to the water system. The monitor is designed to create a range of water flows and turbuences along the fouling coupons which cover the flow range and turbulences normally occur within a water system.

The fouling coupons inside the monitor can be made of the same materials as the water system of the plant, it provides a representative, real-time image of the actual situation inside the larger water system.

The Biovision Monitor provides the operator an early warning system to identify any risk of biofouling settlement. Detect new invasive species, and minimize the risk of operation shutdown.

Biovision Features & Benefits:

  • Designed to mimic real conditions of the intake and (cooling) water system (construction materials and velocities).
  • Detects broad range of species (for example: mussels, oysters, barnacles and hydroids).
  • Dimensions: 73 x 40 x 40 cm - Weight: 18 kg.
  • No power supply required.

For all applications, we recommend a monitoring system to continuosly gauge the effectiveness of your biofouling control regime.
